The guitarbecue is an informal, low pressure concert that I host several times a year where my students and colleagues come together to perform for one another in front of a friendly and welcoming crowd.

The older performers are afforded a chance to develop performance skills while young guitarists often give their first performance at this event in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere. This guarantees that the young performer's first experience will be a happy and positive one which is very important in their development as persons, and crucial to their development as performers. It also provides a forum for players of all ages and abilities to interact with one another.

The informal concert is followed by food, drink, and fun - including barbecue using my family's recipes for Texas style BBQ. I provide the barbecue and the grill, guests should bring food or drink to share. If you would like to attend, please send me an email for an invitation and directions.
